Tried all the floorboards. No luck.

Have written first two lines of my first play, entitled The Beadle’s Circumference; or A Life in the Round. Not sure if any good.

Half past nine o’clock p.m.

The title and opening lines are excellent and truly comical. Perhaps I am destined to become a famous playwright.

10 o’clock p.m.

I have crossed them out.
